Jr. of Rialto, California turned another great performance as he secured a podium finish by capturing second place in a karting
race at Adams Motorsports Park in Riverside California. During
the practice session things didn't start as well as he finished as Sims struggled to keep up with pace of the other racers
due to mechanical problems. After adjustment in the pits during the session, Sims made a vast improvement by qualifying as
the fourth fastest on the grid for the preliminary race. During the preliminary race, Sims got a good jump from his fourth
starting position to finish second to make the feature race. In the
main feature, Sims was in a battle with another driver to hold the third position when the race leader, Chancellor Tiscareno,
got tangled with his teammate and crashed out of the race enabling Sims to finish second at the checkered flag. The second
place finished enabled Sims to secure his lead in the California Karting Championship. Feb 28, 2009 Determination and perseverance
was David Sims Jr's greatest allies as he raced hard against Mexico's Bernardo Lopez-Garcia. The pre-main race was hard fought
against the two and saw David finishing first (video). The main was no less exciting where David started from pole and lead for half of the race until a strong effort by
Garcia allowed him to pass David and take the lead. David pursued Garcia closely but spun late in the race which resulted
in Garcia taking the win followed by David finishing second. Jan 24, 2009 Rain was on order for first race of 2009. David Sims Jr adapted to

exciting as always. David Sims Jr. finished 2nd in a very close nail bitter of a race where he
led18 laps of the 20 lap main event in his Junior 1 Cadet. David jr. lost the lead as he approached
a lapped car that didn't hold it's racing line forcing David to hesitate for a split second which allowed
the car in second place to capitalize and take advantage by passing under David for the lead and
win with two laps remaining...That's racing... Sept 06, 2008 Mechanical problems made

David Sims Jr.experienced today due being disqualified after winning the main event of round 8 at LAKC.
David Jr.was one of the faster cars on track all day to include the qualifying session where he finished P2
and the same for the pre main where he finished 2nd. The main event began with David sitting off pole
at P2 when the green flag dropped. As the battle for turn one unfolded David Jr. took an opportunity
to squeeze by P1 for the lead. Several challenges for the lead forced David to alter his racing lines but
as the laps unfolded David's determination prevailed and bye bye was the best word to describe what the rest
of the 19 racers saw as David Jr. took the checkered. Unfortunately David's victory
was short lived due to a collapsed base gasket which was discovered in tech. David'sresponse after the news
of his DQ was that of a true champion when he congratulated the second place driver for winning by shaking his hand. Sometimes
